What can Pistachio Search do?

Find and copy approved translations from your own Excel terminology lists.

Import Excel term lists
Drop one or more .xlsx workbooks onto the page, or click the import area. Sheets need a Native column and a Translation or Approved Translation column.
Search as you type
Paste or type Chinese, English or numbers to search Native terms, translations and Simplified aliases. Traditional and Simplified Chinese are matched together. Separate terms with spaces or commas to find results matching any of them.
Find the closest matches
Exact matches come first. Repeated Native matches count once toward ranking, while every occurrence stays highlighted. Digits still count. Select a row to see its matching count or exact-match label beside the total number of results. The table displays up to 100 results.
Keep your place
Pasting or starting to type in an empty search box returns the table to the top. Continuing to type, deleting, clearing, undoing and redoing preserve your position where the results allow.
Select the search text
Click the 全选 pill inside the search bar to toggle it. Green: a single click in the search field selects all text; a double-click selects a word normally. Red: normal text selection. It starts off. The × button still clears your search.
Copy with the mouse
Click a Native or Translation cell to copy it. Drag across part of the text and release to copy just that selection.
Copy with the keyboard
Press ↓ in the search bar to select the first result, or ↑ to select the last. Use ↑/↓ to move between rows and Enter to copy the selected translation. Press Esc, or ↑ on the first row, to return to the search bar.
Manage your workbook library
Use Manage files to reorder workbooks by priority or remove them from the library. Smart mode searches every workbook. Fast mode stops at the first workbook with an exact match, or searches all workbooks if none has one.
Work with cells and columns
Right-click a cell for Edit, Undo and Save options. Drag the right edge of the Sheet heading to resize that column.
Use it offline
Your terminology stays in this browser; nothing is uploaded. Imported workbooks are remembered locally for your next visit. Clearing browser data can remove that library. Pistachio Search looks up your approved translations—it does not generate automatic translations or overwrite your original Excel files.
